Change DNS Settings in Windows XP, 7, 8

Automatic DNS Config with DnsJumper

Download the following DnsJumper_BAnet.zip Save it, uncompress it and run it. It does not need installation.


Manual DNS Config

  • Go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connections and select your local network.

  • Right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click Properties. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click either Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), and then click Properties.

    You will see a window like the one below - this is the Internet Protocol window. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter the desired DNS server(s) in the space(s) provided.

    Note: To add more DNS servers, click Advanced then the DNS tab.

    Use the following server BA.net AdBlock DNS addresses:

    Cut and Paste the following Windows BAT File. Save it with notepad with a name adblockdns.bat

    Important Note: If "User Account Control" is turned on in vista or windows 7, 8 : The BAT file needs to be run by right clicking on the BAT file and select "Run as Administrator".
